BRGIE Accuses Jailed Leader of "Political Suicide" for Halting Lawsuit Against Notorious Saboteur

[BALTIMORE, MD]
– The Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE) is plunged into an unprecedented internal crisis tonight after its cabinet publicly accused its incarcerated Prime Minister, Simon Ekpa, of betrayal and "political suicide" for single-handedly dismissing a major lawsuit against alleged saboteur Ngozi Orabueze.

In a scorching official statement signed and read by the Honourable Minister of Information, the BRGIE cabinet detailed how Ekpa, from a Finnish prison, used his legal authority to undermine and block a federal lawsuit filed in Washington, D.C., against Orabueze and her co-conspirators. The cabinet revealed it acted against the unanimous advice of its lawyers, lobbyists, and officials.

"The International Community cannot work with someone in prison, and under duress," the statement read, highlighting the severe paralysis Ekpa's incarceration and actions have caused.

The memos accuse Orabueze of a campaign of sabotage, including branding Biafra Defense Forces as criminals, hijacking and selling the national database for over $10,000, leaking citizens' identities to Nigerian authorities, and recruiting known saboteurs.

The most damning allegations are reserved for Ekpa. The cabinet claims he has completely reversed his own previous position, having earlier urged action to stop Orabueze from "destroying BRGIE COMPLETELY." They speculate that his "deranged and erratic actions" are due to either mental instability under pressure or a purposeful betrayal for "selfish and egomaniacal reasons."

Ekpa was quoted as responding to concerns about Biafran opinion by saying he "doesn’t care what Biafrans think." The statement concludes by announcing emergency cabinet meetings to determine their next steps.

EDITOR'S NOTE: A Crossroads for the Biafra Movement

This public airing of the BRGIE's gravest internal conflict is both a moment of peril and an opportunity. The movement now stands at a critical crossroads. The path forward must be decisive to salvage credibility and momentum.

The Way Forward:

Strengthen Leadership: Biafrans should all come together to support BRGIE diplomatic efforts in Washington DC. We're also encouraged to fund and support the Biafra Defense Forces (BDF) for the liberation and continuous protection of the Homeland. Click the SUPPORT to make funding contribution.
SUPPORT THE DIPLOMATIC AND LIBERATION OF THE BIAFRA PEOPLE.

Launch a Transparent Communication Campaign: The BRGIE must directly and transparently explain this difficult decision to the Biafran people. It sounds unbelievable what is coming from Mazi Simon Ekpa in Finland Prison A public discussion by BRGIE Media clarifying the way forward to the restoration project, is crucial to maintain public trust and manage the "emotional attachment" many still hold for Ekpa.

Double Down on Diplomatic Efforts: As stated in the memo, political momentum in Washington is at an "unprecedented height." The BRGIE stabilized leadership should continue to aggressively pursue diplomatic channel, presenting itself as a unified and reliable partner for the international community.

The infighting must end here by holding people accountable. Strong, unified leadership is the only way to convert this crisis into a demonstration of the BRGIE's resilience and commitment to achieving Biafra.
